For about a year or so I’ve been planning on starting a weekly podcast reviewing records, recording equipment and interviewing people associated with those things. I’ve got the first two hour long shows recorded and will be posting the podcast on iTunes as well as 5kb.com when I have 5 episodes in the bag. It’s entertaining stuff, check it out.
On the music front I’ve been writing as much as time permits and creating sound banks for Akai’s new line of MPC drum samplers. I’m taking a little break from finishing up the work on all the old songs.
I came to a realization the other day when thinking about an old friend. You don’t have to F**k someone to be a starf**ker and you don’t have to be a star to get starf**ked. Think about it.
On to bigger, better and more interesting subject matter,I’m really stoked about the bay area music scene right now. A lot of great bands like Man Made God have gotten back together to play shows recently and there have been a surprising amount of new bands that are worth listening to. One in particular that I dig is Diamond Lane. I hope the trend continues. I don’t get out to many shows, but when I do it’s nice to not have it suck.
I wanna thank Amy and Dave for helping me sort out the Wikipedia problems. At some point I’ll get the full discography and proper info on the pages. In the meantime if you have any questions just ask as most of the info on the SRC page is inacurrate.
